Ezekiel 40:4 Fix Your Mind On God

And the man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you; for you were brought here so that I might show them to you. Declare to the house of Israel everything you see.” Ezekiel 40:4

Although it usually does not happen, reporters are to report just what they see and hear. They see some event occurring and they are to report it without bias or changing what occurred. Most people are not reporters, but everyone has times where they can give answers as to what they saw or heard.

Ezekiel records that God had taken him to a high point in Israel to show him a vision. God tells him to look with his eyes and see with his ears, focusing his mind on what he will see and hear to tell Israel everything.

In the workplace, the top managers will often tell the lower managers some information that needs to be passed on down to the workers. Those lower managers must pay attention to what was said and be able to convey it correctly to the workers. This is done so that the work can be done correctly.

Although very few people may be in a position of being a prophet as Ezekiel was, every believer will be in a position where God can and will speak to them. God has a message for every believer on a regular basis. Sometimes that message is specifically for that believer, while other times it is to be passed on to others.

The believer needs to fix the eyes, ears and mind upon God to hear and see what God is saying and showing. God will reveal a path the believer must be on. He will also tell the believer words to speak to touch the lives of others.

God is reading to speak to you and show you things that you do not know. Stop and fix your eyes, ears and mind upon God to hear, see and know what He has to say and show you. Take your mind off of the temporary things of this world and put it on God and His eternal things.

As you hear and see what God has said and shown, you can know the path He wants you to walk and the words He wants you to tell others.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will set your ears on hearing what God has to say; that you will set your eyes on seeing what God has to show; that your mind will be fixed on the things of God; and that you will show and say all that God has for you to do.
