Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and you have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that he does not turn from his wicked way to save his life. Ezekiel 13:22
Information abounds everywhere a person looks. A single search on a search engine will pull up millions of possible hits as to what a person may be trying to look for. Some of that information is truthful and accurate, while much of that information is twisted and false.
Ezekiel records God speaking against some of the people because they had spoken lies. Those lies made those who are righteous sad, and it has strengthened those who are wicked, causing them to not turn away from their wicked ways to be saved.
Throughout the world people have tossed out God’s truth in order to believe the lies of Satan. The world tells lies that joy and happiness can be found in fame, fortune and good looks. Lies are told that men can be women and women can be men. Lies are told that it is a right to murder an unborn baby. Lies are told that sexual immorality is acceptable to God.
All these things can be expected from the world. However, the sad part is many in the church are saying the same thing. As a result, people are not turning away from their wicked ways to save their lives.
Those who are truly righteous and living for God see what is occurring. They are sad in the heart because they are striving to spread the gospel message to save lives, but it is being rejected due to lies being promoted.
Every believer needs to make sure they are speaking God’s truth and not being led astray by the lies of the world.
If you are following God with all of your heart, it will not take much for you to see the lies that the world is promoting. Hearing these lies should break your heart. They are turning people away from God.
Fill your heart and life with God’s truth so that you will not fall for, nor speak the lies of this world. Seek God’s Holy Spirit to open your eyes and ears to what is falsely being promoted in some churches. Seek the righteousness and holiness of God in your life and be a true witness of Jesus to others.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as Lord and Savior; that God will open your eyes and ears to the lies of the world; that God will reveal any lies you believe; and that you will live the holy life Jesus gives you.
