Jeremiah 32:41 God Rejoices In Doing Good

Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul. Jeremiah 32:41

Parents usually enjoy doing good to their children. They want to give their children the best of everything and anything. Many will sacrifice their own personal desires to help their children and give them a better life. It thrills a parent to see their child blessed with no cares or concerns that can be harmful or painful to go through.

Jeremiah records God saying that when He brings Israel back out of captivity, He will rejoice over them to do good and plant them in the land. This rejoicing will be with His whole heart and soul.

During difficult times, many people feel that God is against them and hates them. All they see in the moment is the pain and suffering that they are going through. Then they begin to question God’s love for them.

These doubts are coming from the devil. Satan does not want anyone to believe that God truly does love them. He gets people to focus upon the difficulties rather than His love.

God does allow trouble in the lives of His children once in a while to get their attention back on Him. However, once a person is focused back upon God, He is quick to want to pour out blessings. He rejoices in doing good, not punishing or correcting.

Jesus was sent to die upon the cross so that the Father would be able to forgive the person and give the person eternal life. God rejoices in being able to forgive one of any sin and pour out His Holy Spirit giving the person a new life.

There is no greater good than being forgiven and given a new life in Christ Jesus.

It may be easy for you to question whether God is seeking to do good to you or not. Struggles of this world cloud your vision of His great love for you. Take your eyes off of the troubles and look to God. See His great love and all the blessings He has done for you. Know the joy God has in forgiving you and guiding you by His Holy Spirit. Just as you may love doing good for those you love; God loves doing good for you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know God’s great love for you; that you will know God rejoices in doing good to you and for you; and that you will keep your eyes focused on God and His love for you.
