Jeremiah 25:5 Repent Of Evil

They said, ‘Repent now everyone of his evil way and his evil doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord has given to you and your fathers forever and ever.’ Jeremiah 25:5

Messages are given every day to people for many different reasons every day. Most common are just the advertisements seen everywhere, encouraging people to purchase some product or service. Others are given messages on what they must do or not do with regards to their work. People have a choice to heed the message or ignore it, however, with many messages there will be a consequence of some sort.

Jeremiah records God telling him that He had sent prophets to the people with the message to repent from doing evil and to dwell in the land God had given them forever.

With being bombarded with hundreds of messages every day, many people often choose to ignore many of them. In the process of ignoring some, people will often miss ones that are of great importance to them. An important meeting is missed, a specific instruction on completing something is missed, or some other important info is bypassed leading the person down the wrong way.

One message that has been started since Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden is that one must repent of one’s evil ways and sin. Jesus came to the earth, died upon the cross and rose again so that one can choose to repent of sins and be saved.

All over the world people who have heard this message are ignoring it and continue to live in sin, just as Israel did. In the same way that judgement fell upon Israel, judgement will fall upon those who refuse to repent.

Everyone needs to repent today and be saved from the coming judgement.

You see and hear many messages each and every day. While most you may be able to ignore without any severe consequences, there are some you must heed to. One message that God is giving you is to repent of any sin.

Do not stay in your sin and cause the judgement of God to fall upon you. Choose today to repent of your sins and turn away from them. Accept the life that God has for you. Obey God and see the blessings He has in store for you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will repent before God of all sin in your life; that God will give you strength to flee all sin in your life; and that God will not need to bring judgement down upon you.
