Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6
People are always searching for something. Often it is something that they had and have lost or misplaced. Other times it is a search for something that they never had and have heard of and desire. The world is constantly looking for peace and meaning in life. What they often find are things that cover up the turmoil and chaos in their lives and give a short, temporary purpose to life, only to go back into the turmoil and chaos.
Isaiah calls on the people to seek and call upon God while He may be found and is near.
As the world is seeking purpose in life, they are often missing the one thing that is close to them and available all the time that can give what they desire. When presented Jesus, the world often rejects Him and continues to search for something different.
At the moment, Jesus is near and available to be called upon and touched. No matter how much a person has sinned against God or how far away one may have chosen to walk, Jesus is immediately available.
Although He is near right now, it will not always be that way. The moment a person dies and steps into eternity, Jesus is no longer available or near. If one has not called upon Him prior to death that opportunity is lost for all eternity after death. There is a great chasm between heaven and hell that cannot be crossed any more.
Today is the day that one needs to seek and call on Jesus and be saved. He is nearby and ready to forgive and give eternal life, meaning and purpose to life right now while one is alive on this planet.
Each and every day that you have breath on this earth, God is waiting and ready for you to find Him and call upon Him through Jesus Christ. He desires to be found, but you must be willing to search for Him and call upon Him. Jesus will never force Himself upon you, but desires that you desire Him from your heart.
Seek Jesus today and know the forgiveness, love, mercy and compassion that He has for you. Call on Him and hear what He has to tell you.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will seek God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength; that you will call upon God and hear what He has for you; and that you will not reject Jesus for the things of this world.
