Isaiah 6:9 Will You Understand?

And He said, “Go, and tell this people: Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.” Isaiah 6:9

Looking at some artwork, one can look at it and not fully understand what it is. Some pictures are made with pictures inside of it in such a way that it looks like one thing when viewed up closer, but when viewed from a distance one can see a different larger picture. Things can be seen or heard on a regular basis that are not always what they appear to be on the surface.

God tells Isaiah to tell the people to be hearing, but not understanding, seeing, but not perceiving.

Everyday things are occurring all over the world that appear as one thing on the surface but have a different motive underneath. Most people take things just as they are not fully comprehending what is really happening.

Watching old tv shows from the sixties and seventies, they appear to be clean and funny. Looking back at them today, one can see that there was an agenda to open up to and allow things that were not originally allowed. Sexually innuendos were put in to be funny, only to be accepted as normal lifestyles today.

Just as the enemy is at work behind the scenes in the world to deceive, kill and destroy, God is also at work behind the scenes to bring about life, however, many do not see it, nor understand it.

One can talk to a person about the path of sin that the world is on, and the person will not see it or explain it away as freedom. People go through difficult times and not realize that God is trying to get their attention back on Him and all they do is blame Him.

True believers will be open to and led by the Holy Spirit to have spiritual eyes and understanding of what is occurring in life.

Everyday there are hundreds, even thousands of things going on around you. Some of these things are direct results of the spiritual battle that is going on behind the scenes. Satan is trying to stop you and God is trying to keep you. Seek God’s Holy Spirit to lead and guide you with His eyes and ears. See what God is doing and hear what He is saying with full understanding.

Do not be like Israel in hearing and not understanding, seeing and not perceiving.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will hear what God is saying; that you will see what God is doing; that God will open your eyes and understanding to what the enemy is doing.
