Song Of Solomon 2:14 Desiring To See And Hear God

O my dove, in the cleft of the rock, in the secret places of the clift, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely. Song of Solomon 2:14

Those who love each other will normally desire to see and hear each other. Spending time together will be the goal. This is something that can be seen and understood in every nation around the world, regardless of one’s culture or religion. People like to be with one’s they like and love to communicate with.

The lady in Solomon’s writing desires to see her lover’s face, in the secret places, because it is lovely and hear his voice because it is sweet.

Finding true love is difficult for most people. Love is normally seen on the surface and when things are looking good and going well. People love someone who has a good sounding voice, saying all the right things that they want to hear, and one who looks nice on the outside. This occurs because that is all that people can see is the physical parts of another person.

Seeking a person to love, to hear and see is what God wants for people to do. Doing this is a symbol of one seeking God’s face and hearing His voice. Above any person one could see or hear is God.

When God speaks, He is always speaking the absolute perfect words that need to be heard at all times. He speaks life into a person and guides the believer with His word on the right path.

God also looks upon a person with love and compassion. He only wants what is best for each and every individual who has ever lived. Seeing a face that seeks those things bring peace, comfort and joy to the heart of the believer, who is in a world of darkness, sin, pain and harm.

As a believer, you should seek to hear God’s voice and see His face in your life. Hearing and seeing God means that you are close to Him. He is there to guide you in His perfect love as you follow Him and listen to what He has to say. When you are willing to seek His face and hear His voice, God is willing to be found and to speak into your life.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know God’s voice and face; that you will seek God’s voice and face; and that God will be your greatest desire and love in your life.
