I also will answer my part, I too will declare my opinion. For I am full of words; the spirit withing me compels me. Job 32:17-18
Nearly everyone has an opinion on many different issues. Some are very quick to give those opinions, while others hold back and do not say anything. Some of the knowledge that others have is needed to be said and shared with others, while some needs to be kept to one’s own self and not shared. Sharing thoughts can sometimes bring about great conflict, while other times it can clarify and bring about resolution.
Elihu decides to speak. He says that he is full of words and feels the spirit in him compel him to speak out.
The world is very quick to give its opinion on how to live life. Very few are ashamed to tell that they want to be able to do sinful activities and share with others why doing so is considered good. Many will also be willing to share why they do not believe in God or want to follow God.
All that the world has for an opinion is thoughts that point people away from God and lead them to an eternal death. Their thoughts are worthless and deadly.
Believers have been given the message of how to live according to God’s ways. That message is one that will bring about eternal life. Even though every believer has this message, very few feel compelled to speak out. Often, they do not want to offend anyone, or they do not feel old enough or wise enough to speak.
God wants every believer to share His message to the world. The Holy Spirit will compel the believer to speak out against sin and point people to Jesus. They will not stand back and keep quiet.
As a believer you have learned the greatest message ever and accepted it. The world needs to hear that message also.
Allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in being willing to speak out the message God has for this world. It may be one of speaking out against sin, while other times it may be just pointing people to Jesus and God’s word.
Do not let your age, experience or fear keep you from speaking what God has for you to speak out. The words God has for you to speak may be just the words someone needs to hear.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know what God wants you to say; that God will give you the boldness to speak out; that you will be full of the words of God; and that you will declare the truth of God to this world.
