But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all of your heart and with all your soul. Joshua 22:5

It is very easy for people to get lax in using caution when things are going very well. People will often let their guard down and take shortcuts, thinking it is safe. Only when a person is in high alert and paying attention does he keep from slipping up and making a mistake.

Joshua told the Israelites that now that God has given them the land and rest to be very careful to obey Him, love Him, hold on to Him, and serve Him with all of their heart and soul.

Using caution and paying attention to details allows a person to do great things. It is the difference between something failing or just being good and something being great.

Many people feel that there are many rules that God has given and that it is difficult to follow them. The rules are actually very simple–love Him, obey Him and serve Him.

Each day a person can ask God to guide him in what needs to be done and then do whatever that is. The Holy Spirit is right there to guide and strengthen the believer in doing all that God has commanded him to do.

The moment a person decides to relax on his obedience and walk with God, sin will creep in, and he will stray away from God. It takes one to be very careful with constant diligence to love, obey and serve God with all of his heart and soul.

God has called you to live an abundant life in Christ Jesus. He has also given you His Holy Spirit to lead, guide and strengthen you in that process of living.

Focus your entire life on loving God, obeying Him, keeping His commands, and serving Him with all your heart and soul.

Do not allow yourself to be distracted with the temporary things of this world. Do not allow yourself to relax and fall away from loving, obeying and serving God.

Be very careful in how you live your life. The world is out to stop you and destroy you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will love God; that you will obey God; that you will hold fast to God; and that you will serve God with all of your heart and soul.
