Leviticus 16:3 Getting Close To God

This is how Aaron is to enter the Most Holy Place: He must first bring a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering. Leviticus 16:3

Many different places have certain requirements in order for a person to enter. Some restaurants require a specific dress code enter. Some business places require a special identification card to enter.

All of these requirements are meant to keep unauthorized personnel out. Those without the requirements being met will be kept out and if found in, will often be prosecuted for illegal trespassing.

Prior to Aaron entering the Most Holy Place to offer atonement for the sins of the people, he had to bring a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.

During the time of Moses with the tabernacle, there was a large curtain that blocked off people from the Most Holy Place. This was the place that God would meet directly with the high priest. Only the high priest could go in, and that only once a year and after doing certain things.

Years later when Jesus died upon the cross for all the sins of all people, that curtain was torn in two and the way was opened up for all people to enter. However, there is still a sacrifice required to enter in to meet with God. That sacrifice is Jesus.

The death of Jesus is the sacrifice for all sins. It is His blood that makes a way for a person to be cleansed of sin so that he can meet with God.

The great news is that His sacrifice is good for all people, for any sin and for any time!

Today any person can go in to meet with God any time he desires as long as he has been cleansed by the blood of the sacrifice of Jesus upon the cross.

Jesus paid the price of the sacrifice for your sins. If you choose to repent of your sins and believe that Jesus has removed those sins by forgiving you, you will have direct access to God any time you want.

Do not allow yourself to try to enter in with God in His Most Holy Place without the blood of Jesus removing your sins. Nothing you can do on your own will give you direct access to God.

Do you have direct access to God today through Jesus?

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know your sins are forgiven by the blood of Jesus; that you will trust in the sacrifice of Jesus for your life; and that you will know the ability you have to meet with God directly any time you desire.
