He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:5
With all the pain and suffering going on around the world, people are searching for something new. Changes occur in what people are following.
Constantly there are new trends in what is the best way to do things, when the prior way of doing things failed. The search continues for what is true and lasting, that brings life with no suffering or pain. Hope seems to disappear for most people.
In his vision, John sees a new heaven and earth. Then God, sitting on the throne, says that He is making all things new.
Hope for a brighter future is something that most people want, but don’t know where to find. When they are presented with the hope in Jesus, many will reject it, because it sounds too good to be true.
Every day there are ads stating that they have the best thing in the world to sell a person and that everyone needs it now. Very often those items do not live up to the expectations or promotions. It causes a loss in hope of truth.
God’s word is true and has been proven over and over, again and again over the centuries. Despite the pain and suffering, despite the rise in sin and crime, God is still in control and will complete what He has promised to do.
At the right time Jesus will return and take everyone who believes in Him home to heaven for eternity. God WILL make a new heaven and a new earth. All sin WILL be wiped away. All pain and suffering will be removed for all eternity. All WILL be made new.
No matter what pain and suffering you have gone through or are going through, or will go through in your future, you still have hope of a better life. This better life may or may not start here on this earth, but it will come in eternity.
Jesus may call you home before He returns, or you may be here when He returns, but He is going to bring you into eternity with Him and make all new for you.
Do not give up on God but trust His word and keep following Jesus that He will make it all new.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know God’s promises to you; that you will trust God’s complete word; that you will know the hope you have in Jesus for a perfect life; and that you will not lose faith in Jesus.
