1 Corinthians 1:9 God Is Faithful

God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9

Searching for a faithful person is difficult. On a regular basis, people change their minds, change directions and let others down. Although sometime this occurs for a good reason, it is still difficult to trust others because when it happens, they are not completely faithful.

The faithfulness most people have are to themselves. They are quick to take care of themselves in whatever manner that requires, even at the expense of others.

As Paul opens his letter to the Corinthian church, he tells them that God is faithful and that He has called them into a fellowship with Jesus.

While many believers have chosen to believe in Jesus and God, they struggle with trusting and understanding His faithfulness to them. The struggle comes from the fact that many of the people they know are not very faithful in most situations. Others have let them down so many times that they struggle to trust that God will not let them down.

The small picture, short term vision that people have, makes it difficult for people to see God’s faithfulness. God is faithful in that He will always do what He has promised, even though often it does not look the way one may think it should look like.

As soon as one repents of his sins, God will forgive. At the right time, God will always provide exactly what is needed. No matter where a person goes, God is still right there with him. He will always give wisdom and direction, when He is sought out and obeyed.

God’s faithfulness is seen in what is needed and best for each and every person with eternity in mind. All a person must do is believe God.

Take a moment to look at all the promises of God. Ask God to reveal to you the ways He has fulfilled many of those promises in your own life. As you do this, you will begin to see how faithful God is to you and that He will remain faithful to you.

Allow yourself to put your entire life into His hands and trust that He will do what is best for you. He has called you into fellowship with Jesus and will not leave you, nor forsake you. He is faithful and can be trusted.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will know God’s faithfulness to you; that you will trust in God’s faithfulness for all of your needs; that you will remain faithful to God; and that you will grow in your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
