Job 42:3 Speaking Without Understanding

Pier

You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. Job 42:3

Speaking about something is easy for most people. They have an opinion about something and are willing to share it with anyone who is willing to listen, or not willing to listen. Opinions can be found all over every social media platform about nearly every subject and event that is happening, every where in the world.

There is nothing wrong with having an opinion, however, having that opinion is often wrong, because there is no real understanding of the situation. The knowledge that most people have is skewed or biased with information left out in order to cause thinking to occur a certain way.

While Job was going through the tough times of losing everything, he accused God of being against him and out to destroy him. He felt as if God was doing something wrong and questioned God about it. However, in the end he realized that God was in control and that God was still on his side. Job realized that he spoke without really understanding what was happening.

Believers today still have the same problem that Job had. Often they speak up about things that they really don’t know or understand. They condemn others, when they don’t understand what actually occurred.

It is common to hear of believers bashing other believers over an action done, without knowing why that action was done or knowing the heart behind it. It is also common for believers to get angry with God for allowing certain things to happen in their lives. Some will even walk away from God in anger, because they do not have the full understanding of what God is doing. They forget that God is in control and is doing the best for each individual.

There will be times you will not fully understand what or why God is allowing things in your life. It can be a painful time, but you must remember that God is in control and does really love you. He is only doing what is best for you.

Be careful in what you speak about. You may not fully understand the situation. Give God praise for what is happening and trust Him to bring you through it shining like gold. Don’t try to stop His plans. His plans are the best in the end.

I pray today that you will know God’s will for your life; that you will trust God’s plans for your life; that you will not question God’s actions; and that you will be a witness of God’s power and love.
