Revelation 10:6 No More Delaying

And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, “There will be no more delay!” Revelation 10:6

Often when there is a major project to be done, that will take a long time to complete, there are many different delays in completing it. These delays occur due to waiting for parts, or due to the weather, or payments or some other issue that slows the project down.

There has to come a point when the builder of the project stops allowing for any more delays to get it done.

John sees an angel standing up who says that there is to be no more delay, but that God’s will is to be completely accomplished.

Depending upon which side a person is on, delays can be a good thing or a bad thing. Delays in getting a road built is a problem for the drivers. That same delay may be good for those who are trying to fund the building of it.

God’s final will is for the salvation of everyone who follows Jesus and destruction of all who refuse to follow Him. His delay of this final judgement is good news for those who don’t know Jesus yet as their Savior. It gives them an opportunity to believe and be saved.

For the believer, the delay is a struggle because they are waiting to be saved out of this fallen and dark world, full of sin and trouble.

However, there will come a day when God says enough is enough and stops delaying the final judgement. This will occur at the perfect time for God’s will to be completed and the believer needs to have patience in waiting for that time to come.

During your life on this earth you will see many troubles and hardships. You may be wondering how long they will last and when will God do something about them.

God is delaying for a purpose as He waits for the perfect time to end all troubles. Instead of fretting and worrying over the delay, embrace it as God’s perfect timing. Trust God in when He will complete the salvation promised when you began to believe in Jesus and follow Him.

At the right time God will say “There will be no more delay!”

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will trust in God’s perfect timing; that you will know God is in control; that you will know God’s peace as you wait; and that you will be ready when God says that there is no more delaying.
