Revelation 5:14 Humble Worship

The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshipped. Revelation 5:14

Famous people in many different areas of life are worshipped by many people. They are looked up to as the greatest and cannot appear to do anything wrong or bad.

Those being worshipped are people in music, acting, sports, business, writing, and nearly any other area of public light. They are lifted up by thousands or even millions of people as being the best, and many will pattern their lives after them. And while being worshipped, they will accept the praise and honor.

In his vision of heaven, John sees every creature circling the throne of heaven. All of the creatures and elders fall down and worship Jesus, who is on the throne.

Worship is the act of someone giving someone else praise, honor, glory and power that is above and beyond the simple normal. People love to receive worship, because it lifts them up and makes them feel good. People also love to worship people or things that they can see, feel, taste or touch.

The world likes to worship things or people that do not really have any control over them. They still have their personal freedom to do what they want.

Believers are to have a different mindset. They are to realize that there is only One who is worthy of all worship and praise, and that is Jesus. It is not about them or what they did or can do, but all about Him. It is not about the temporary things of this world, but about Jesus.

This can be humbling to lower one’s self and place Jesus above himself in every area of life. It is laying down one’s life to lift up and worship Jesus as worthy of all honor, glory, power and praise.

You were created to worship. You will worship something or someone. Knowing this you have a choice as to who or what you will worship and honor.

The moment you realize what Jesus has done for you, you will want to humbly bow down and worship Him, giving Him your entire life. Lay your life at His feet ang give Him all authority and power over you.

Jesus created you and paid for the redemption of your life, because of the sins you have done. He has willingly removed your sins, so give Him all the worship and praise due to Him.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will know what Jesus has done for you; that you will humbly bow down before Jesus; that you will worship Jesus with your entire life; and that you will give Jesus all authority over your life.
