Some were convinced by what he said, but others would not believe. Acts 28:24
All types of truths and false lies are being spoken all the time, all around the world. As these are being spoken, often one side is chosen and presented in a way that it is the only truth and the only way it can be looked at.
In some places, it can actually be demanded that a person believe it or there will be consequences. There is no choice allowed in whether to believe it or not. The authorities get very upset when some do not believe.
As Paul was held as a prisoner in Rome, he kept preaching and teaching God’s word, trying to convince people about Jesus. Some would believe, while others would not believe.
When Jesus got ready to leave their earth, He gave the final command to be a witness in all the world. Every believer is to go out and tell others about Him and what He had done for them.
One common problem that many believers have is that they often will refuse to talk to some people about Jesus. They feel that those people just will not accept Jesus, because of who they are or what they believe. They are not given the opportunity to believe at all. The choice is made by the believer, not the individual himself.
God is in the business of touching hearts through His word. However, the people need to hear what that word is, and that is only done by believers going out and telling them His word.
When a believer tells everybody and anybody, it gives each one the opportunity to believe or reject. The more people told, the more people who will believe, while more people may also reject, but each can make their own choice.
You have the same commission to be a witness as Paul and all the disciples did. You are to go out and tell everyone you can about Jesus.
Do not allow yourself to ignore or not tell someone because you believe that he may not believe. Tell everyone, trusting that God will touch their hearts and draw them to Him. Allow them to make their own choices.
As you do this, you will see that many will believe, while some will not believe. That is not your choice, but theirs. Give them a chance to believe.
Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Savior; that you will be His witness to all around you; that you will see God draw many to Him; that God will change the hearts of many people; and that God will give you the words to speak.
