I normally would never ask for money on this blog, for anyone or anything, however, I feel I need to make this request.
On January 19 of this year, the husband (Brandon) of a daughter (Emily) of a very good friend of ours was hit on a motorcycle by a drunk driver while he was stopped at a stop sign. We have known Emily and her parents since she was just a little child, over 20 years ago. They have been married for a little over 3 years and have an eight month old little boy. They are very active in their church and community.
Brandon was just a few weeks from graduating fire fighter school, his dream job.
In the accident, Brandon had to have part of one leg amputated. In addition to that, he has many internal injuries to the spleen, kidneys, vertebrae, and more. He is still in the hospital, stable, but going through a lot of surgeries.
The Columbia Fire Department, in South Carolina, has set up a fund raiser to raise funds to help meet the hospital expenses, and living expenses, since Brandon is unable to work.
Please pray for them and if possible can you help support them financially with anything you can. In this fund raiser, Emily and Brandon will receive 100% of the money that comes in. Neither the fire department or any one else will receive any of this money. Below is the link to support.
Thank you for your support in prayers and finances.
I am definitely praying, Tom. So sad, and medical costs are so high stateside. Praying that God will meet their every need.
Thank you Sheila. Prayer is the greatest need. We know God will meet all of their needs in His way and time. We are believing for a some miracles.
Praying for Brando, brother Tom and will take part in fundraising. Thank you for sharing.
