Psalm 127:1 Who Is The Builder?

Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. Psalm 127:1

As a house is being built, there are certain things that must be done correctly, or else the house will not stand very well. The right type of boards must be used, the boards must be aligned correctly, the right type of nail must be used, it must have the correct foundation, and numerous other details go into making a house.

The best way to make sure all of this happens correctly is for the person to hire someone who builds homes. The construction worker knows all the correct details and knows how to implement them correctly. He has proven himself with building of other homes already.

Most people do not build the physical house, but they do work at building the house of their lives. The world tells a person that he can build his own life in the best way possible. That person is shown how to strive to be the best on his own that he can be.

The problem with building like this, is that the plans for the house is coming from the world, who really does not know how to build the correct house. The devil is trying to build a home that will eventually crumble in dust and destruction.

As a believer, your body is a temple of God, that is a house for God to dwell in. You may be trying to build that house a certain way on your own…going to church, reading the Bible, and doing good things. But if God is not the architect who is building the house, it will crumble. It will be no different from the house the world tries to build.

God is the only architect who is perfect and knows how to build a house that will stand for all eternity. He has the master plans for your building. Allow God to guide you and build your life into what He knows is best. If you strive to do it on your own, you are wasting your time and will fail in the end.

Allowing God to build you, will ensure that the perfect house for God will be built.

Who is your architect today?

You?

Or God?

I pray today that you will allow God to build your life today; that you will work with God’s plans for your life; that your life will built on the foundation of Jesus; and that your work will not be done in vain.
