Psalm 54:4 No Worries, God Is Your Help

Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me. Psalm 54:4

Most people realize that they need help at times. Very few people feel that they can do everything, all the time on their own. The few that do believe that may get a long ways to a point, but usually come crashing down very quickly.

The difficult part for many people is accepting the help that is available. While many know that they need help at times, most will not ask for that help. They want to be able to do everything on their own.

There are men and women who will work a self-owned business for 60-70 hours, or more, a week because they do not want to ask for more help. They feel that they must do everything themselves or they will lose something. These people are usually called workaholics.

The reality is that no one can do everything completely on their own. And while people can help out a lot, they will also fall short in what they can do.

The abilities of a person eventually will fall short in life. During times of extreme troubles, many people fail to have the right words to say. They cannot always understand what is going on and have no answer for the troubling events.

As a believer in God, you have One who is by  your side at all times. He is there to help you in every time of need. Jesus said that He would always be with you forever. He is the one who holds the universe together.

If God can hold the universe together, which is much bigger than you, surely He can hold you together. He is able to help you in your time of need in ways that no person on this earth can possibly help.

You cannot do everything on your own. You need someone to help you. So you need to stop worrying about the difficult things in your life. God is the One who will help you and sustain you through the challenges and difficulties of this life.

Are you trusting God to be your help?

Or are you trying to survive on your own?

I pray today that you will not try to do everything on your own; that you will know God will be your help; that you will not worry about anything; and that you will trust God to meet your needs.
