2 Kings 18:5-6 A Record For Trusting God

Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him. He held fast to the LORD and did not stop following him; he kept the commands the LORD had given Moses. 2 Kings 18:5-6

Some of the kings of Judah had trusted God some. Many had eventually walked away from God. Hezekiah had a record of trusting and following God his entire life. He did not stop trusting God or start worshipping idols in addition to following God. He was listed as being the most different among all the kings of Judah.

There are many things that people trust in, however, most will change what they trust in over time. Some will trust in certain companies stocks for their retirement for a while, then change to another company. Others will trust one politician for a time, then change to another. The trust of people changes all the time.

This occurs in the church also. Many people change their trust in a local church to another one on a regular basis, never satisfied.

Sadly, many believers also move their trust around. They state that they fully trust in God, but when a hard time hits, they look to others for help, rather than to God. When God tells a person to do something specific for Him, many often question it and refuse to do it out of fear, rather than trust.

God’s ways are above any man’s ways, so His ways do not always make sense or even look right, but they are the best ways. God is always looking out for your best in this world and in the world to come.

You can only see in the moment. God can see into your future and knows what is up ahead. Are you trusting God?

If everyone around you was asked about you, what would they say?

Would they say that you are a person who always trusts God?

What is your record when it comes to trust God?

I pray today that you will know God more; that you will learn to fully trust God; that you will trust in God alone; that others will know you trust God; and that you will follow God with all of your abilities.
