In spite of this, you did not trust in the LORD your God, Deuteronomy 1:32
God had some of the Israelites go in to the land of the Amorites and spy it out. They spies saw it was a good land, but the refused to go in and take the land as God wanted them too. They were afraid of the Amorites and failed to trust in God.
Already, over time, God had delivered the Israelites from many different enemies. Some of His greatest works were the release from Egypt and the crossing of the Red Sea. Yet, even though God had done many things for them already, they did not trust God.
People have not changed much since the time of Moses. Over time God has helped a person many times, when suddenly he is faced with a bad situation in life. Instead of trusting God, the person often runs in fear trying to do things on his own.
Other times, God calls a person to be a witness to someone and he runs in fear instead of being that witness. He sees the other person as a bad person and does not trust God to take care of him as he is a witness.
In your life, think about how many times God has been there for you. How many times has God helped you in your life? You were sick and got better, you needed a job and found one, your vehicle broke down and it was fixed, you turned to Jesus and was saved, and the list goes on.
If God is going to help you in all of those areas, will He not continue to help you? He will go with you wherever He sends you. In fact, He will send His angels before you.
In reality the worst thing that can happen to you, is you are killed. Which becomes a good thing, because you then enter into heaven to be with Jesus for eternity.
Trust God in where He sends you and what He wants you to do. Don’t run in fear or refuse to do something. Do not fail to trust God as the Israelites did. God has great things in store for you.
I pray today that God will reveal what He wants you to do; that you will trust God with all of your heart; that you will do everything God has for you to do; and that you will be a witness for Jesus.
