Numbers 10:35 God Leads The Way

“Whenever the ark set out, Moses said, Raise up, LORD! May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flee before you.” Numbers 10:35

While the Israelites were camped in the desert God would appear in a cloud over the tabernacle by day, and a pillar of fire by night. Whenever God was ready to have the Israelites move, God would begin to move the cloud. As God started to move the Israelites, Moses would give praise to God as He would lead the way. God went before them and Moses would proclaim that their enemies would be scattered from before them.

Although God does not (at least I have not heard of it) lead anyone today in a cloud, God does still lead people through a desert. Most people are not in a physical desert, but they are in the desert of this life. There is chaos and wilderness around them.

Allow God to rise up and lead you in your desert. Think about the Israelites in that great big wilderness. They did not have any sign posts, maps or GPS to guide them. All they could do was rely on God.

When you see God starting to move in your desert, you must being willing to follow. God is going out before you on the path you must walk. Each person’s desert is a different from the next person. The length of the desert is also different for each person. The common thing is that you may be alone other than God being with you.

As you are walking in the desert, there will be many enemies out there. Some will be physical enemies, people who physically fight against you, sickness, accidents, and other events in life. Many will be non-physical, depression, fear, worry, rejection, loneliness, and many other mental enemies. God is going before you and can remove those enemies in your life.

Are you trusting God to remove the enemies in your life?

Are you trusting God to lead you through your desert?

I pray today that you will see God’s leading in your life; that you will know the path God has for you; that you will trust God to lead you correctly; that you will trust God to remove the enemies from before you; and that God will bring you into the land He has for you.
