Exodus 2:24-25 God Hears And Remembers With Concern

“God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.” Exodus 2:24-25

Israel (formerly Jacob) and his many sons had moved to Egypt. They had favor with the Pharaoh at the time while Joseph was in high leadership over Egypt. His family kept growing large and larger. Over a period of four hundred years they had grown large enough that the new Pharaoh was concerned.

At some point the Israelites were put into slavery. Now the Pharaoh was trying to wipe them out by killing all the new-born babies. The people were crying out to God. As God heard the cries, He remembered His promises and was concerned about them. He wanted to relieve their misery because He had promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that He would take them out of Egypt into their own land.

The Bible does not state why the Israelites were allowed to be placed into slavery. It is just stated that they did. It was also foretold that it would happen, but it was also foretold that God would give them their own land.

As you go through life, there will be some times of extreme difficulties. You may be wondering why you life is being so difficult. You cry out to God day and night asking for some relief, yet, it seems as though God has forgotten you or refuses to listen.

God does hear your cries. God promised that He would never leave you or forsake you. He is right there by your side.

God also remembers His promises to be there with you and to help you with all of your needs. God remembers that He promised to forgive you and save you from your sin.

With what God hears and remembers, He is concerned for you.

Are you remembering the promises of God?

Go through the Bible and read all the promises of God. Apply those promises to your life.

As you pray remind God of His promises. Remember that God is concerned for you. What you are going through is only for a time, not for all eternity. Do not give up, but know that God hears your prayers.

I pray today that you will know the promises of God for your life; that you will know that God hears your prayers; that you will pray all the time to God; and that God will meet all of your needs in His time and in His way.
