Colossians 1:22-23 Reconciled, So Keep Going

“But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation–if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.” Colossians 1:22-23

Every person who does not follow Jesus is an enemy of God. They follow their own desires and sinful ways rather than follow God. God, in His great love, has chosen to provide a way to be made clean and holy. This is through the death and resurrection of Jesus.

In yourself, you can never be free from accusation. Once you have sinned one sin, you are guilty for all of eternity. That action can never be changed on your own. Jesus has chosen to take on that sin and remove it from your life, if you let Him do so.

The removal of the sin in your life is only done by faith in Jesus and what He has done. If you have believed in Jesus and what He has done, you are now able to be presented before the Father as holy and blameless.

However, this can be done if you continue in your faith. You must continue to believe that your sins have been removed. You must continue to believe that Jesus is presenting you as holy and blameless. You must continue to strive to live for Jesus as He lived for His Father.

Know what you know and stand on that. Do not give in to the lies of this world. Do not allow yourself to be moved into believing that Jesus has not forgiven you.

Keep your eyes and mind focused on what Jesus has done for you. He is wanting to present you to His Father as blameless, so do not allow yourself to go back into sin and bring blame back on yourself. Live your life for Jesus today. Jesus bought you at a high price, now live for Him.

I pray today that you will know the forgiveness Jesus has given you; that you will hold fast to your faith in Jesus; that you will not be moved in your belief in Jesus; and that you will share Jesus with others.
