Matthew 25:29 Use It Or Lose It

“For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.” Matthew 25:29

Jesus had just told a parable about a man giving his three servants his gold. They were to use it wisely to build up his wealth. Two servants built it up some and were rewarded with much more. The third did not invest the gold and the gold he was given was taken away.

Even today, there are wealthy people who give their money to certain people to invest it. If the money is not invested correctly there is a loss and the wealthy take the money back and even sue for more.

How does getting money and investing it relate to a person and his walk with God? God has blessed you with everything that you have, but He did not bless you with those things for you to completely use them for yourself. You are to use them to build His kingdom.

The greatest thing that God has blessed you with is your testimony the salvation Jesus gave you. It is very easy to hold that testimony to yourself and not tell anyone, yet, Jesus told you to go out and tell everyone what He has done for you and can do for others.

Whenever a person is able to purchase a new car at a super great price, he is excited and wants to show it off and tell everyone. He takes care of that car and shows everyone. He may even talk of it as a blessing from God. He understands that value of that car.

The value of your salvation is much greater than a car. Can you place a price tag on eternal life?

Knowing the true value of the salvation given you should make you excited about it, more excited than anything else in your life. Pass it on to everyone else.

Along with your testimony, everything you own should be used towards helping others and building God’s kingdom. Jesus gave all He had to save you. You should be willing to give to others to show that same love and point them to Jesus.

Jesus said that if you do not invest what He has given you, then it will be taken away. This investment is into building His kingdom. This is not a physical building but a building of souls. Invest into God’s kingdom today.

I pray today that God will reveal to you how to invest what He has given you; that God will use what you have to build His kingdom; that you will not hoard what God has given you; that you will trust God for all of your provision; and that God will build His kingdom through you.
